I love to receive gifts, and even more love to give them! But how often have a cringed at that “unique” scarf or platter from some well-meaning soul. I have seen several people talk about giving experiences rather than things for gifts. I love the idea. Give a movie ticket or a coffee date or a story time or a fort building event or a game night or a popcorn party to someone. The laughter, talking, and camaraderie will outlast any coffee mug or gnome! And none of those things need storage area or dusting – win win win!
